Ingredients for 4 serves in 30 minutes

pumpkin, raw 2000.0 gram
oil, olive 30.0 mililiters
cornstarch 15.0 gram
spices, paprika 1.0 teaspoon
spices, oregano, dried 0.5 teaspoon
spices, parsley, dried 2.0 teaspoon
salt 2.0 gram

Are you bored with classic potato fries? Be sure to try those prepared from pumpkin, if prepared properly they will be soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. A perfect, sweet and salty addition to an autumn dinner.

Instructions how to prepare

  1. Wash and dry the pumpkin thoroughly, cut it in half and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut the prepared pumpkin into French fries and then sprinkle them with corn starch.
  3. Pour olive oil over everything and sprinkle with paprika so that each piece of pumpkin is thoroughly covered.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place baking paper on a baking tray and arrange the pumpkin fries so that they do not touch each other. Bake for 10 minutes using top-bottom heating, and then another 10 minutes with convection.
  5. Remove the fries from the oven and place them on a plate. And then sprinkle them with salt. Serve with ketchup or garlic-herb sauce.
