Hungarian salad

Ingredients for 4 serves in 45 minutes

peppers, sweet, red, raw 3.0 piece
peppers, sweet, green, raw 2.0 piece
onions, raw 2.0 piece
onions, red, raw 2.0 piece
celery, raw 1.0 piece
garlic, raw 10.0 clove
salt 2.0 tablespoon
water 2.0 glass
vinegar, distilled 2.0 glass
oil, canola 2.0 glass
sugar, white, granulated or lump 2.0 glass
spices, paprika 2.0 tablespoon

This jar salad may bring to you summer tastes in the middle of the winter, when you do not have time and resources to create one on the fly. It is nicely composed, besides nutrition values it tastes great and due to colorful ingridents looks great on the plate.

Instructions how to prepare

  1. Wash te peppers, remove seeds and cut into pieces.
  2. Peel the onion, cut into half circles. Diece the celery.
  3. Peel the garlic, then slice it.
  4. Mix the vegetables, season with flat tablespoon of salt and leave for the night.
  5. Mix water, vinegar, oil, sugar spicy paprika and salt and boil it.
  6. Pour it into a clean jars with vegetables prepared the previous day.
  7. Close the jars, wrap into thin cloth and put into pots. Boil for twenty minutes.
  8. Carefully take these out of hot water, put them upside down and let cool.
  9. Kept in cool spaces (like basement) should last up to one year.
